Last RSC in purple.....

I had some catching up to do this week.

8 of the Stashbuster blocks set as 4's into a 12 inch block were added to their collection.

The cobblestone blocks were done earlier this month. I do have a purple one made to replace that one reading blue.

The 16 patches were leftover from previous years so didn't need an addition.

The stars and nines were completed for last week. I put the last 4 stars back in the block bin for another time as I had enough of these blocks in the collection.

I still have the Sweet confetti blocks to make with these purples on Saturday.

Linking up on Saturday morning with the RSC. I wonder what the coin flip results will be for September..... Red or Yellow?

Kids are off to Grandma's Saturday since Emily has a riding lesson Sunday.

The first week of virtual school is done. They did ok with it. I'm actually glad they were home - Emily had a headache Friday late morning and I'm thinking it was a migraine? Blurry vision and a painful head, threw up a little after noon, slept for an hour or two and was better. If she was at school and that happened.... she would be home for 10 days and her brother would be home for 14 days.... and no clue what they would have done with the classes and teachers? I'm sure a doctor visit would have been necessary as well. The new reality I guess. But.... as we are home - all teams virtual lessons are recorded so she can watch and catch up on Sunday. An advantage to virtual learning! Trying to find the positive in this new world.

I almost forgot to do a post including my purple blocks until I saw yours - great job and all of them.

You did well to find so much purple in your stash...all wonderful blocks.
One of my daughters got migraines when young...when she would get overexcited about something like birthday parties, etc. As soon as she'd throw up, she would feel better. She learned to take a portion of a gravol and a tylenol before the event to ward off the headache and that worked well for her.
It is all new this new way of doing schooling.

Great purple blocks!
That is a great benefit of the virtual learning for sure...
My twin grandsons last Spring loved being online since everything is recorded they could work at their own pace and when they wanted and take breaks when necessary...virtual is a definite plus...
Hope your weekend allows you some fun sewing time...
Hugs, Julierose

Not much purple sewing at my house this week! I promised to finish the Easy Breezy blocks that were already cut! They are not done, but will be before the end of August! Stars and Nines is my favorite of yours. And the cobblestone blocks are going to make a great quilt. Isn’t it interesting how purple has so many shades. From palest lavender to the darkest, nearly black eggplant!
My fingers are crossed for Red, next month!

SEW much PURPLE on display, Deb!! Looking forward to seeing the Sweet Confetti blocks you will make with squares of such variety in shading. Sorry to hear about Em's migraine, but you are absolutely right about what might have happened, if she'd been at school!!

Purple is one of those difficult colors, isn't it? It can read blue, red, or even sometimes almost brown! I've had trouble making decisions about purple in my RSC blocks many times. Love all your projects - especially how the cobblestones are looking! Hope Emily is feeling better - a headache is never fun. I used to wonder with my son who started getting migraine-like headaches at that age if it was hormonal. :) Glad to hear their lessons are recorded so they can access them at any time.

Plenty of purple patchwork for RSC. I marvel that you have any scrap fabric left. What am I saying - quilters always have loads of fabric!

Whew! Look at you go! Your RSC quilts are really taking shape and looking gorgeous. Life is always better when looking for the upsides and it doesn't matter what angle you were coming in from!
