Feeling better today.

The antibiotics and tylenol/advil combo seem to be working. I do know when it is time for another dose though!

Yesterday someone insisted she wanted to make binding. So I laid out the RSC 2018 quilt and we auditioned a few fabrics. We decided on grey and I had enough. I cut and sewed them together. She did the ironing to press it in half. I machine stitched it to the top. Now it is waiting to get hand stitched to the back. It will take a while - I believe this one is 70x80.

While waiting for me to cut and sew the parts together I mentioned the little magic stars were ready for their layout. She played with it and came up with this setting. These are pretty tiny - I think each one is 4 inches?

Happy to hear that you are feeling better--not fun at all!!!
The Magic Stars are so pretty--great color combos--I've pulled some 10" squares out of a layer cake and am going to try one block (or it makes 2, right?) to see if i can decipher the instructions...
Take care, rest up and stay safe hugs julierose

I've been meaning to say I love your Diamonds you are hand piecing. Just the kind of pattern for me. Meanwhile, having such a sore tooth just sucks. Hope you continue to improve and your root canal goes well. Always enjoy seeing your projects.

Glad to hear you are some better--I had 4 root canals down through the years--but I always had to get rid of the infection and swelling first before they would tough it!! and I did discover what caused mine--stress--can tell you 'what stressful time' each one earned me!!!
I love the little squares --at first I wasn't all that excited about them--but a day or so ago, I went and looked up how to really make them and it sounds kinda neat--maybe tomorrow I will look for some charm packs in my stash and have a play!!!
luv, di stay safe--

glad the meds are helping and I hope they do the trick until you can see your dentist and get the offending tooth taken care of . Love the blocks and the top

The Tylenol/Advil combo did the trick for me when I broke my wrist and had to have surgery! Glad it's working for you. Has your girl claimed the RSC quilt? It's so fun that she wants to help you choose the binding and help make it!

So glad you’re feeling better & the meds are giving you some relief. I love the dark setting triangles and grey smashing on RSC2018. So dramatic and really makes the blocks stand out. Those little magic blocks are way smaller than I thought they were. Great layout.

Closing in on another finish, Deb?! Go, you!! Love that Em is being such a wonderful design assistant in the sewing room. When is she going to take over the machine? :P
