I got a little red sewing in this week. I think I am going to go ahead and make the 2 blocks of these stars in yellow as well so I can sew 20 of these up into a special quilt to mail out soon to someone special for a quilty hug. I hope she will like it. I have been making 3 of these 12 inch blocks each month so I'll have 10 leftover at the end of next month.
As you can see, I also made a cobblestone row in black this week too. I was going to get that one all set to go.... but wanted to use the stars and nines for this special quilt so that got bumped up in the priority.
I seem to have finished off 2 of the Endless Diamond blocks this week... so I had to prep a couple more of these blocks for handwork during the hockey game tonight. This is one of the blocks I prepped with my templates and the mechanical pencil and thin pen I use for marking.

you are busy as always -- love those red stars!
I rarely use blacks in my pieces--but I like your cobblestones in that color--I think they will add quite a bit of drama to the other rows;)) Nice!
I am getting distracted from courthouse stepping by hand embroidery projects--need to keep those hands busy I guess; it is only 52 degrees here this morning--a real taste of Autumn...but low humidity and clear...hoping to deck sit and stitch around noonish...
Keep the faith--stay safe hugs, Julierose
I think your recipient is going to LOVE the Stars and Nines quilt, Deb!! I'll be interested to hear how the change came about.
I look forward to seeing your quilt finished - what a great gift to give
Me too! I’ve admired your stars and nines for months! I can’t wait to see them all together, it will be a wonderful quilty hug!
The brights on black are fun in your cobblestone column! I always love the stars and nines, too. Looking forward to seeing the quilt you make out of them! Have fun watching the hockey game and sewing tonight!
You’ve been working hard! Quilty hugs are such nice things to make for people.
I'm looking forward to seeing all those stars come together - I've been admiring them all year!
I love the stars & nines. I don't recall the endless diamond project but hopefully I'll see some progress in next week's post!
