I managed to make the yellow blocks I needed Sunday and decided 48x60 was going to be big enough so I laid out 20 of the blocks.
I seem to have swapped a couple of these around (left side bright green, purple, green and light blue) when I started sewing.... doesn't that always happen? I hope to get this sewn into a top later today after work. I'll have to find some snuggly cotton flannel for the backing of this. I have a roll of warm and natural and I know how I plan to quilt it. A scrappy binding will eventually finish it off.

Just caught up on your posts, Deb. As a retired educator, I can relate to your concerns and issues with the online learning. I was a reading teacher and dealt a lot with children too shy to speak up; they need lots of encouragement and reassurance to feel truly at home in school settings/situations. My daughter found the home schooling during school shut down to be very challenging to say the least!
Meanwhile, your starry blocks are so pretty!
This quilt seriously has to go on my list for next year's RSC project options!!
Oh how pretty--you did a wonderful job on making all those blocks and how well they all went together--and I will tell you a secret--I can always manage to get the block placements I have laid out--mixed up--so welcome to the club!!!!

Those are really pretty all together! I like the way the stars are in different places around the blocks - it gives your quilt lots of movement. Flannel backing and a scrappy binding sound perfect!
That's turned out really well and the cotton flannel will make for a wonderfully snuggly quilt.
