RSC Saturday.....

I have joined up for doing a post a day in December called the 31 day Blog Writing Challenge. You can find out about it here. We will see how I do! I joined up today so I'll shoot for 30 days!

I am finally feeling better after my 2 week cold and just hope my busy weekend doesn't put me back to feeling poorly again.

I made a little progress on the brown BITA blocks. They got the hst's sewn and pressed. Just need to lay these out and sew them into 12 blocks to join the rest of the colors. I think I will have enough at that point to make a nice size quilt....... just need to find time to lay them out and sew them together!
Linking up with the RSC Challenge.

Yes, it has been busy! Yesterday after school I had promised Emily we could do her toes (for a month now!).... we all went for a pedi - including the boy! He loved the massage chair and his feet actually got clean after being in that nice soak for a while!

While at Walmart we got their gingerbread house kits for them to do while out of school for winter break and candy canes for the girl scouts to make some quick reindeer crafts to hand out while caroling on the 11th. Emily and I went to my cooking club last night.... and got home very late for her around 9.
This morning was bowling (with lots of attitude for both tired kids) and a quick trip to the store to get dress clothes for their winter concert on Tuesday. Nothing like waiting for the last minute! Emily could have been fine with her current clothes but the boy needed Sunday best - no jeans, t-shirts or shorts. Yes... he has 2 pairs of jeans and that is it that fits for long pants! This will have to do! Navy pants and he liked the horse on the pocket of this shirt so it came home with us. He will be all tucked in proper on Tuesday night for the concert.

After Grandpa A's visit this afternoon, Grandma H will come pick up the boy for a sleepover (and trip to see Coco) and Emily and I are setting up the tent with Dad as a prep for setting it up tonight at the drive in for a girl scout camp out to see Coco. Hubby is on call so I had to arrange Aidan's care in case he got called to work. Not much sleep tonight I am sure..... then I have a 3PM cookie exchange tomorrow afternoon! Oops.... I guess I need to make some cookies between now and then! Ginger cookies are quick and easy (and I'll think of you Mom!) and then some Chocolate crinkle cookies which need to get started today to get baked off tomorrow. The kids have 2 weeks and 2 days of school left this year before they are off for 2 whole weeks! I swear, it seems like they are never in school! Better go find the tent to make sure I know how to set up and take it down with just Emily's help.
Maybe after that I'll quickly mix the cookie dough and then get a chance to sew a few seams!

And what is there left to write about in the next 29 days? Just kidding. I did the challenge last year starting on day 16 and loved it but I will wait for next year.

Phew! It's exhausting just reading about it. Life with kidlets is always busy that's for sure.
