Bonnie Hunter Winter Mystery - Chilhowie

Sigh, I was not going to participate in the mystery this year. I have 2 started that I have not finished, and I even purchased the patterns that I had misplaced so I could finish them at some point. On Ringo Lake 2017 and Grassy Creek Mystery 2020. So.... why am I going to make 2022's Chilhowie you ask?

The colors.

Irises, orange, purple, teal and neutrals. How can you go wrong with those colors in a quilt? I might have even splurged and headed over to the shop recommended and attempted to grab the fabric bundles.

Will you be playing along this year?

Hi Deb, looking forward to seeing your project! I stay away from quilt alongs because they end up being huge UFO creators :-0 Have fun - the colours sound wonderful.

Yes, those colours are beautiful. I have a few past mysteries in the UFO pile too.

Loving the colors this time--but I will only be watching how it comes together...too many parts for me I've found.
Have fun getting all your fabrics chosen and working on the clues...I'll be applauding your choices in the wings ;))) hugs, Julierose

I save all the instructions and at the reveal, I decide if I want one or not. I loved a few of her quilts and decided to sew along when On Ringo Lake was the name of the mystery because I loved the color combo. I got all the parts cut and some sew and when she revealed the quilt I was disappointed. So now I "play" safe. Haha. So I might end up with one or maybe not. I still look forward to the next steps though, it's fun. ;^)

Those are pretty colors in this year's mystery! I do love those color bundles that she shares from the shop - so tempting. I'm always intrigued by Bonnie's mysteries, but haven't jumped in on one yet. Enjoy!
