I started a new hand quilting project this week. I pulled out a very old quilt top - my Bear Paw from the late 1990's. It wanted quilted feathers and I wanted to make sure I was up to the challenge. I pulled out a template I have had since then and never used - got on clearence for $3 if you can believe it! It has been a great relaxing therapy this week with the storms going through in south Florida.
A photo of the crib quilt when I was layering it for quilting.
Linking up with the Slow Sunday Stitchers.
I watched Hocus Pocus 2 on Friday - I love the original and the second movie did not disappoint! The kids went to Grandma's to help with her yard pick up on Friday since they were off school. We are waiting on the F1 race to start on the rain delay. I'll be adding some stitches to these feathers while watching.

That circular feather design is so pretty, and looks perfect for the space, too! I'm not sure I've ever watched the Hocus Pocus movies - maybe I should see when they're on around here. Today it's all football, all day long! Younger son will be watching the F1 race, so we'll talk to him about that when he calls a little later in the morning.
Love the feather design!
Pretty feather quilting…great for those white areas of your quilt.
Beautiful feather stitching and the baby quilt is adorable!
Feathers are always great, especially in an open space like that. This will be so lovely when done!
Beautiful stitching and I am sure very relaxing. This quilt is going to be gorgeous, Deb. I am going to have to watch Hocus Pocus 2; loved the original. Happy Sunday.
Lovely quilting! I’ve just settled down to watch the F1 race!
Such a gorgeous feather design! Happy quilting, I look forward to seeing this project progress over the next few months.
Such a pretty quilting design! Doing a curvy design on a small quilt -that's an idea for me to consider! I prefer straight quilting, as I do it so infrequently that curves are troublesome for me. I bet you are glad to be finishing an older project.
Beautiful quilt and quilting, the circular feather design is awesome.
That pretty quilt is going to be beautiful with that feather design. Your stitching is very pretty. I started to watch the first Hocus Pocus for the first time this past week, but I just didn't like it. I am glad you enjoyed the sequel. Have a great week!
Oh my goodness, your feather stitching is beautiful. It looks so intricate. Yes you should try to get this all done...what a keepsake! Meanwhile, I'm having enough of a time just quilting an outline of my blocks, LOL.
Marvellous! It’s the perfect design for that space.
